About Dr. Carmine Gentile:
▪ Current Role: Leader of the Cardiovascular Regeneration Group at the University of
Technology Sydney (UTS) and the Heart Research Institute (HRI).
▪ Academic Background: PharmD and PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Cardiovascular);
research experience in Italy, the USA, and Australia.
▪ Expertise: 3D bioprinting, stem cells, cardiac regeneration, and “mini-heart” disease
modeling.
▪ Career Highlights: Former Visiting Fellow at Harvard Medical School; recipient of
numerous fellowships and awards.
