LAP (Lithium phenyl-2,4,6-trimethylbenzoylphosphinate) is a water-soluble, cytocompatible photoinitiator ideal for crosslinking methacrylated hydrogels in 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering. Activated at 365 nm & 405 nm, it enables faster polymerization, lower toxicity, and improved cell viability compared to other UV initiators.
